Lisa Howie
Lisa Howie has over 25 years of education, art and community engagement experience. Following successful tenures as an educator of English Literature, then Director of Education & Programming and Executive Director of the Bermuda National Gallery, she is now an independent curator, cultural entrepreneur, educator, and writer. In 2019 she launched Black Pony Gallery as an online platform, featuring contemporary artists from the Caribbean Atlantic World, and in 2021 she spearheaded the Atlantic World Art Fair. Both projects will land soon. Concurrently, Ms. Howie is the Director of Learning & Engagement at the National Museum of Bermuda, and she serves as a Board Director with the Centennial Bermuda Foundation. Ms. Howie holds a BA in English (McGill), BEd in Secondary Education (Dalhousie), MEd in Philosophy of Education (OISE/UT), and several certificates from Harvard Kennedy School and Columbia Business school.
